Activate Windows 7

To activate Windows 7 via an Internet connection:

1. Select the Start button, right-click Computer, select Properties and then select Activate Windows Now.

2. If Windows detects an Internet connection, select Activate Windows online now.   You may be asked to enter an administrator password or confirm your selection.

3. Enter your Windows 7 product key when prompted. Then select Next and follow the instructions.

To activate Windows 7 by phone:

1. Select the Start button, right-click Computer, select Properties and then select Activate Windows Now.

2. Select Show other activation methods.

3. Enter your product key for Windows 7 and then click Next.

4. Select Use automatic telephone system. You may be asked to enter an administrator password or confirm the selection.

5. Select your location (or the nearest location) from the drop-down list, then click Next.

6. Call one of the listed telephone numbers. An automated system will guide you through the activation process.
