Installing ABBYY FineReader on a Computer

1. Double-click the Setup.exe file on the installation CD or other delivery media.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions of the installation wizard.

Deploying ABBYY FineReader PDF 15 on a Local Network

ABBYY FineReader can be installed and used on a local network*. Using automated installation methods, you can quickly and flexibly deploy ABBYY FineReader across a local network without manually installing the program on each workstation.

Installation consists of two steps. First, install the program on the server. From there, it can then be installed on the workstations. The following four methods are available:

• Using Active Directory
• Using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
• Via the command line
• Manually in interactive mode

Starting ABBYY FineReader

To start ABBYY FineReader PDF 15:

• Click the Start button in Windows, then click All Programs > ABBYY FineReader PDF 15 (in Windows 10, click Start > All Programs and then ABBYY FineReader PDF 15).
• Alternatively, right-click a document file in Windows Explorer and choose Edit with ABBYY FineReader PDF 15 or Convert with ABBYY FineReader PDF 15 and select one of the conversion commands.

* This feature is not available in some versions of ABBYY FineReader.
